Boiler Scrappage Scheme
Have you heard about the boiler scrappage scheme?
Did you know if your boiler is G rated (or equivalent) you may be entitled to a £400 cashback voucher?
- If you are under 60, you can apply if the boiler you are scrapping is in working order and is the main boiler used to heat your home.
- If you are over 60, you can apply regardless of whether the boiler you are scrapping is in working order or not. However, it still needs to be the main boiler that heats your home.
How do you apply for your voucher?
- To find out whether your boiler is eligible for the scrappage scheme, phone ACT ON CO2 on 0800 512 012 or visit their website at www.governmentboiler-scrappagescheme.info
- Then give us a call on 01245 355336 to arrange a free, no obligation quotation.
- Once you have received our quotation, you can apply for your voucher by calling the Energy Savings Trust on 0800 512 012. You will need to have the following information to hand, which will be on the quotation we supply to you:
- Your full name
- Address of the property you wish to claim the voucher for
- Make and name of the boiler being scrapped
- Name and address of the installer carrying out the work
- Gas Safe/OFTEC registration number of the installer
- Confirmation that you have received a quote from the installer to carry out the work
Once you receive your voucher, you can proceed with the installation. You will need to pay for the new boiler and installation up front and then claim back the £400 by sending your voucher and invoice to the Energy Savings Trust.
